MLB, what are the dates of your stay in Kenai ? You mention June in the heading of your post and then talk about Sockeyes. Generally the Sockeyes ( Red Salmon ) don’t really start their heavy run until early July to mid July.  June is definitely King salmon time on the Kenai River. Do you know where your Halibut charter will be launching from ? If it’s around Anchor point you should be in for some pretty good Halibut action. I wish I was going with you, sounds like a great trip. I’ve been up their a couple of times and loved every minute of it.
