Something to keep an eye on.   Currently Poultry and Poultry products are banned.  You may have to source your eggs in Canada if you don't do so already.

Thanks for the update. I was up there last fall and we couldn't bring any live bait across-the-boarder. I didn't no if they changed it for this year. Head up May 27th this year for 8 days. I hope ice will be off!

Guidedfishing  is correct. Talked to my camp people yesterday and I was advised no bait of any kind, dead or alive. I believe you can still buy bait in your zone, but there may be restrictions on use in other zones.

ToughonTrout and Brownbear.  No live or dead bait of any kind is allowed across the border this is the 2nd year that has been in place.  They have new live bait restrictions in Ontario even between the different fishing zones as well.

No crawlers regardless of the bedding, no salted minnows.

Bottom line no live bait of any kind alive or dead can cross the border.

brownbear-to the best of my knowledge, that law has not changed throughout the pandemic. Yes, you can bring crawlers across the border but NOT in dirt. It must be in Canadian approved worm bedding (Frabil) or newspaper.

The new version of ArriveCan is available for update.

Version V2.27.2

Which you can see at the bottom of the settings tab in ArriveCan no longer contains the question on do you have a pre-arrival test complete.

There is a statement in the Covid testing requirements page that says "Travelers who are fully qualified are no longer required to produce proof of a Covid 19 test."

good deal.

Is canada going to still end pre-entry covid testing  on April 1st for entry?

Well anything is possible, I can't keep track of how many times I have crossed in the last 45 years sometime as many as 5 times a year.  Trips that I camp, stay at a hotel, at a fish camp, or hunting

If they tried to call me they would get my voice mail since most of the places I fish there is not service. Same with email.  So I would simply respond at my first available time when I actually receive the message if I had access to wifi at a location great.  Not sure what more could be expected.  At that point I would be on my way back more than likely.  And certainly with no intent to evade any notification.

Based on your scenario no one would ever be able to be outside of cell service or wifi which in Northwest Ontario is not feasible.
